almost worked, but the Whites still had too much fire power and the Brain brought his A game. Geno gave the Reds an early lead, but our regular guest, Tom #1 (Needs a Nick Name) got that back with a pass from Rob. Brinks tied the Meaningful score when he fired one past the Anvil. Brinks scored again on this next shift to give the Whites a 3-1 lead. 2 shifts later, he scored again to get a natural Hat Trick. Beak almost spoiled Brinks' Natural Hat when he took a pass from Tom McGowan and hit Eddie in the chest. Brinks added another to give him 4 goals! Guest Tom #1 scored 2 more to get a Hat Trick of his own. That gave the Whites a 7-4 win. Rob and Don Jr. had 6 or 7 assists each. Backhand Johnny, The Maestro and Geno added goals for the Reds that prevented a blow out.. The pre game trade did keep the game close, as the TTB (Tom#2, Thor and Beak) line was shut out, while the Granato line had all 7 White goals.
Charity Game
The 1985 Illinois Institute of Technology's IWCHA Championship team will be playing the Alumni Black Hawk team on March 2nd at the Oakton Ice Center in Park Ridge. Basket Ball Jones and Tom McGowan, (the big smile on the right side of the photograph behind the kneelers) were on that team. Tom #2 formerly from Br Rice HS, an IIT grad and a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves had a great time trying to set up Beak and Thor..
