Too Much Nick

The Whites killed the Reds with the little hammer scoring 4 goals by on his Dad  in the first 20 minutes.  Thor hogged all of the meaningful goals to himself. (he had all 3). They were set up by Tommy and the 5 eyed Canadian Line.  Tweedy scored early for the Reds, but he was stoned many times by the Brain after that.  Rich Storm had the other Red goals.  The Anvil must have sent the word out after Nick went wild in the first period.  Nick went back on Defense and only scored a few more goals.  Thor did provide his weekly laughter break when he fanned on a shot , lost his balance and flipped into the air, with skates and sticks flying.  The only one not laughing was Tweedy, who got hit with the stick.

Tommy , Tweedy and Danny Granato played and exciting game at 10:00 O'clock.  Their opponents were college guys with speed to burn. They fell behind early, but they came storming back when Tommy set up two Peoria Duffers,  (Pete and Mike made several trips to Peoria with us)  Danny Granato gave them a 4-3 lead when he stormed out of the corner and jammed one past the 6 foot 2 goalie.  With 4 minutes left in the game they were given a delay of game penalty for shooting the puck over the glass in their own zone.  They didn't know that the new rule made it to the Men's A league.  The penalty proved costly as the College kids tied the game with 2 minutes left in the game.  Tommy went to work with the final seconds ticking down, he roofed a beautiful game winning goal with 30 seconds left on the clock.  Tweedy had a great game on Defense poking the puck away from the speedy forwards.
