The Anvil is on Fire!

I usually jot down some notes on Saturday morning while the game results are fresh on my mind.  Last week, shortly after I left Bonos,  I picked up my daughter and grandchildren and headed for Holland Michigan.  Duffer GOD, Jeff, was playing in a week end tournament.  Watching those kids pass and skate made me forget all about the Friday night game.  Here is what I remember.
I think Hit Man scored early several times and the Reds had a big first period.  The Brain recovered and shut down the Reds in the second and third periods.   Eddie the Anvil was spectacular the whole game and only allowed one or two goals.  I think mini Wheezer and Super Dave scored, but I don't remember what team they were on.  I think I remember Harvey ringing up a post, then again I may have been dreaming.  I do remember Miller Lite giving me a great pass, but the Anvil was too good for my one timer.  I remember the Alien screwing something up, but that is not news.  I also remember King Kong Zagorski taking advantage of Stump's absence and icing the puck several times.  One of them led to a tainted goal.

  • Klinger returned to action after surviving a rough week..  He escaped an earthquake in Japan, only to find himself in the jaws of a huge fish.  (See picture below) Fortunately for him, he gave the fish gas and the fish spit him out.

Wedding Table Talk.

Beak lings

Tweedy's Father-in-law is doing well after a successful heart transplant, so Tweedy will strap on the goalie pads tonight.  He has his own pads now.  As you know, Tweedy was always a closet goalie.  When he was a squirt, he was always trying on goalie pads in the pro shop and his father would pull him out of the door when the price tag popped up…..Larry Hansen Brother found another way to skip out of work……….  Drano and Dill Deau are still trying to figure out how to do that……The Nailer is still missing since he became a bridge builder…...Joe Junior has managed to slip away several weeks in a row….Joe Bobka is improving every week…..Attendance  25.

J.B. quote of the week.  "that's my story and I'm sticking to it."
Klinger can use that quote this week.

Klinger had a tough week.
