I now know why many Duffers go to the Lopatka.net website on Tuesday to find out what they did on Friday. I have been asked how I remember all of the things that happen on Friday. The answer is simple, I write notes about things that I can remember when I wake up on Saturday morning. This week I didn't do that, because my wife made me clean my computer room. She figured that I had no deadline this week, since we don't play until New Year's Day, so I didn't get a chance to write anything down. E-mail pleads produced little, so the following is what I remembered on Monday night. That is the night that my wife goes bowling and I get to work on the Duffer news without distractions. I do remember that the last game of the year produced a great turn out. We had 3 forward lines and 2 sets of defensemen. That produced a fast paced game that brought the best out of our goalies. Eddie and the Brain exchanged one great save after another, until Brinks finally poked one past The Anvil to give the Whites a 1-0 Meaningful lead. I remember helping Rich Storm get a break away goal by lifting his Dad's

stick when the puck out came out to the point. I remember Johnny Z getting 2 in the "honey jar" and Tweedy scoring 1 for the Whites. Tommy Z had a few for the Reds, but that is all I can remember. Maybe Mini Wheezer had one too. Beer Nuts had many chances but he couldn't beat the Brain. Blue Ball Bill returned to action and brought a guest that had good Duffer skills. Larry brought his son in law, Randy Johnson, I'm sure he scored for the Reds, but he was very well behaved. He was always looking for an old guy to pass to and he never unleashed his killer shot. The Brain picked up his second Meaningful shut out win in a row. Hacksaw and Harvey were back, but Thor was MIA. Perry tried to get there, but the Ford Motor Company put a wrench in his plans.
