blue line as the White's took the puck and rushed into their zone. They turned it over and Tommy fired Thor a break away pass. Thor was just getting up with the help of his stick (Ala Beak). When the puck arrived he was holding his stick by the blade. He somehow managed to stop the puck and take it in for a harmless shot on the Brain. We almost had another laugh break when Rich Storm did a Thor imitation with an upside-down stick, but nobody can do it quite like Thor. Mr. Magoo got the Whites off to a flying start when he deflected a Tweedy pass up into the air. When it came down, it hit the Anvil on the head and then rolled into the net behind him. Magoo had his hat trick in the first 10 minutes. Bill By The Way got the Reds going with a pair in the first, but Magoo added another
goal and Tweedy added a pair to give the Whites a comfortable lead. Tommy Z got into the flow of the wide open game and he scored his a couple to keep the game close. The Reds were out of the Meaningful contest
with Magoo's Hat plus one. Hitman finally got the Whites a meaningful goal when his pass to Beak took a left turn and settled into the corner of the Brain's net. 14 year old Rob Granato poked in a beautiful pass from Tommy Z. Suddenly the Reds were ahead by one, then Tweedy added a few more to give his team 9 while Bill BTW got a hat trick or maybe 4. I thought TZ had 4, but he e-mailed and said he only had 3, so maybe Bill had 4, all I know is that the score was tied at 9. Referee Hacksaw did a good job at giving the score at each face off.
With the final seconds ticking off of the clock, Geno took a 2 line pass from a player to be named later and raced toward the Brain, with Klinger in fast pursuit, gaining on him with every step, but Geno fired a shot that eluded the Brain with 12 seconds to play
to cap a thrilling 10-9 win for the Reds. Our Official Duffer Referee, Hacksaw sent the following missal on Sunday: Beak, After reviewing the game tape early this morning, it was determined that the official game clock actually expired 2 seconds before Geno Cromwell scored the "winning goal" for the Red team. Therefore, the official ruling on the ice is that the final score of the
game was a tie. (Whites 9 - Reds 9)
