Attendance 23  Report by Beak

The Anvil gives up 3 White goals and 2 Red!

When the Reds started to put The Anvil's son, Nick, on defense, His Dad  aggressively waved that move off.  He knew that he was going to be under attack when the Whites sent 3 Granatos swarming all over the offensive zone.  Brinks was back in town and he not only brought his son Rob, and cousin Robert, but he added his daughter Tina's boy friend, Kevin, a speedy talented player. Eddie did a great job limiting the Brinks gang to 3 goals, unfortunately 2 of his team mates managed to score on him when he wasn't looking.  The Reds kept up with the Whites, thanks to

Harvey, Nick and Tommy Z.  Harvey had the only meaningful goal for the Reds, when he blasted a flutter blast past the Brain.  Brinks had the "CNN Play of the Day", when he caught a pass on his left side, while looking over his right shoulder.  Most Duffers would stop, take a bow and wonder how he managed to catch that pass, but Brinks raced in and flipped a shot over The Anvil and under the cross bar for the only Meaningful White goal.

The Worchester Trip has been cancelled:

We have added a Peoria road trip for March 26-27. This may be an end to an era, because the Peoria Rivermen will be in the IHL next year with an unnamed coach.

March 6th Day at the Races is sold out!  Thank You.  Beak is now collecting $40 for tickets to the Cub Sox game on June 26th.  We can only get 20 tickets for the Duffers.  We have only 11 tickets left.

Duffer Summer.jpg (265555 bytes) If you want to join in this year's summer fun, you need to give Beak $40 to get a ticket to the Cub Sox Game on June 26th, 2005.
Beak can also get tickets to the Sox vs. Boston Red Sox on Sunday July 24, 2005 @ $35 per ticket and Sox vs. Yankees on Friday night, August 19, 2005 @ $35 per ticket.  As a die hard Cub fan he won't be organizing an outing to these games, but he will get you tickets if you pay soon, because of his respect for his Duffer Sox fan friends that suffer every year with him.
