The Lauren Kraft article about the Duffers just keeps rolling along. It first appeared in the March 13th edition of the Homer Sun. It was published in the Bolingbrook and Plainfield Sun two days later. The Daily Aurora Beacon then ran the whole article in their Monday edition, but they left out the nick name box and all of the pictures except the Buckshot Close up. Last Sunday, the Daily Southtown ran the article in their Sunday edition. Papa Joe reported that Buckshot was the only one pictured. The West edition featured Buckshot along with that great action picture of Hacksaw and King Kong hindering Tommy Z (See picture Below) with the following caption: Duffer rules allow checking, but only for the “meaningful” guys– those over 48 years old. The King accused Beak and Knarf of “sucking” up when their picture showed up on the cover of the Sun, but Morgan must be the suckyest suck that ever sucked.

Harvey bought a new Karman Gia air cooled helmet and scored on his first shift to give the Whites an early lead. Fruitcake and Thor scored to give the Whites a 3 goal meaningful lead. The King got heavy legs after two periods and left to take an early shower. The rest of the Whites soon got heavy legs and Brinks scored 2 goals to give the them a scare. Thanks to Lauren Kraft for showing up at Bono’s with 20 copies of the Bolingbrook Sun.  Rich Storm is at it again, click on the King Calage below.

The Duffer calendar went from 0 to 7 events this week, please update you calendar. The Downers Grove Village Special Events Coordinator called to see if the Duffers would participate in the Cammi Granato parade this year with a float and Harley. We need volunteers for decorating the float. We will need Hockey bags to line the flat bed float. We also need roller bladers of all ages in Duffer jerseys and soft pucks that we can throw to the crowd. E-mail Beak if you want to volunteer. We need donations so that we can buy pucks.  A $5.00 gift will buy 7 pucks. Wheezer's brother, Keith, in Minnesota has already pledged a donation, as has Duffer Alumni, Nick the Hammer.

The pucks will have the above logo, along with a congratulatory message to Cammi.
