(Right,
Some of the graduates along with our cheer leader, Carolyn Steck) Holy Trinity graduated 128 students in 1958. We were able to locate 88 of our class mates. Another 13 are known to have died, leaving us 28 missing in action. Please call Greg Lopatka if you know where to find one of our elusive graduates. 53 are still only a local call away. Area code 847 has the most ‘58 grads with 18. There are 13 in the 773 area, 11 in 708 and 10 in 630. Graduates can now be found in the following 15 states: AR 1 FL 1 NH 1 AZ 1 IL 66 NM 1 CA 3 IN 1 NB 1 CO 3 MO 1 TX 1 DC 1 NC 2 WI 4 When we entered Holy Trinity in the fall of 1954, you only needed 3 cents to mail a letter and 17 cents to buy a loaf of bread. The Minneapolis Lakers were the NBA champs. The Cleveland Browns won the NFL, and the New York Giants won the World Series. When we graduated, postage went up 33%, bread was 19 cents a loaf and the St. Louis Hawks won the NBA. The Baltimore Colts were NFL winners and the Yankees won the World Series. The best movie of the year was Gigi, and the song of the year was Nel Biu Dipinto di Blu (Volare) Dwight D. Eisenhower was the President of the United States, but the most powerful person to us was Brother Joseph Walter. |
