A New GOD!

Kathie and Mike Spillman had a 9 pound 15 ounce baby boy on Thursday, May 4, 2000.  Michael Gregory Spillman is refered to as a GOD (Grandson Of a Duffer) in the Duffer Hockey community.  Grandpa Lopatka was there with the digital camera.  Enjoy the pictures and videos below.

Rivermen Take Game 4!
Lead Series, 3-1

For the first time in 7 games Trenton scored first on the Rivermen on Friday night at the Sovereign Bank Arena for an early 1-0 advantage, at the 1:30 mark of the opening period
on a Kam White score. The Titans appeared to have held some of their momentum gained from Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over Peoria as they scored on their very first shot attempt. Midway through the opening period the Rivermen would tie the game on a goal by Dan Hodge at the 7:50 mark and then at 11:20, J.F. Boutin scored to make it a 2-1 Rivermen advantage. Peoria would score on a Joe Rybar tally, the eventual game winner, at 2:21 in the 2nd period before the host Titans would pull back to a 3-2 eficit at 10:24 on a Cail MacLean score. In the 3rd period Peoria allowed the Titans nary a shot for the first 16 minutes and padded their lead on goals from Trevor Wasyluk at 10:48 and Darren Clark with an empty netter with just 9 seconds left for a commanding 5-2 lead. The game saw the return on goaltender Cody Rudkowsky who was brilliant in stopping 23 of 25 Titan shots. The Rivermen now force the Titans to win the remaining 3 games in this best-of-7 series, or face elimination. Game 5 is on Sunday at 4:05 PM EST. A Rivermen win would give the team the Northern Conference Title and a berth in the 2000 Kelly Cup Finals against the winner of the Louisiana/Greenville series which has the Grrrowl ahead 2 games to 1 after Louisiana's 6-4 come from behind win on Saturday night at home. On Friday night Greenville took an ECHL record 4 overtimes to beat the IceGators, 3-2 Remember Greenville has  home ice over any Kelly Cup Finals opponent, however, the Rivermen have home ice over the IceGators. If Trenton upends Peoria on Sunday, the Titans will return to Carver Arena for a game 6 on Wednesday and, if necessary, game 7 on Friday. The Rivermen are now 9-1 in the postseason and are just 5 wins away from a Kelly Cup and fans can relax knowing that there are at least two more games in Peoria, regardless of the outcome of Sunday's game.
