The Whites took the Meaningful contest, when Hacksaw came out of retirement and scored 1, maybe 2 goals with the help of Brinks Jr. The killer Bs scored all of the meaningful goals for the Whites. (Beak, Brinks and Boris) Beak got the first one when Brinks Jr fired a pass to his wingers who were layered in the slot. Boris flagged the pass down and it dribbled over to Beak, who settled it down and buried it in the lower left corner. (The 4 hole) Boris then rang one off of the pipe and some thought it was in. Brinks said it hit the pipe, net and came out so fast, we had to go to Toronto for a ruling. Toronto Scout had a talk with Matt and he declared it a goal. Assist by Brinks Jr. Donny set Boris up again for a cheaters proof goal that he buried for an undisputed goal. Brinks had to play center on the second line and he set up Scott (Kramer's Bookie) twice and Scott blew them past the Anvil for his first 2 goal Duffer game! Brinks later scored a beautiful goal when he took a pass from his son Rob and raced into the zone and tucked it in on the short side. Donny tried out a new pair of skates that were missing an outside edge. Donny looked like he was determined to win the 2006-7 Klinger Krash Award when he wiped out several times. The judges gave him a 9.6 when he stuck the landing and took out The Maestro, who landed on top of Donny. Klinger played without his crossing guard vest and had his usual number of crashes. Rich Storm tells us that his Mom might qualify for the award when she took a tumble in the Florida airport. She was helped up by a stranger, while her husband, Frank, never looked back as he rushed to get their rented car. The Brain picked up a meaningful shut out when he kept Magoo, Fruit cake and Harvey from scoring for the Reds. Rich Storm, Tommy Z,
the Maestro, and Mini were able to blow a few past the Brain for The Reds, but the White were able to win the Meaningful and the Meaningless contests. Picnic Meeting will be on Friday May 25 at Hacksaw's house.
