Hat Trick for Alien!
The First summer skate was was poorly attended, so
we went 4 on 4. All I can remember is that I scored. If you
can remember any details, e-mail me.
I posted the above statement for a month, with no response. Then Mike, my grandson, reminded me that his brother Jeff Lopatka broke a duffer record when he put the whistle away in the third period and grabbed a stick and scored 2 goals. Jeff's Uncle Dan (Tweedy) who got his name by refereeing for the Duffers just like Jeff, held the record for being the youngest Duffer to score, when he beat Stump, high on the glove side on Mother's day, 1980. |
Tweedy just turned 10. That record stood for
5 years when Duffer GOD Bobby Fetting (Grandson of Frank) scored when he
was 9 years old.
That feat was overshadowed by an even more unlikely record breaking event. Bill, the Alien, Allen was set up 3 times by High schooler, Terry O'Keefe. Now that is nothing new, but this time Alien converted all three passes and scored a hat trick! That is News! |

The Wood man arrived with a smile, even though he couldn't find Lamont road. No one told him that Lamont Rd. is called Highland over by the old Brink's place, then it changes to Main Street when you go to Beak's place and when you go to Hacksaw's it changes to Lamont Rd. |
|
Chris dropped the trophy when he saw the Beer and Brats that Hacksaw had ready for him. |
