Whites Take First Summer Game!

Bridge Builder

The King started his first day of retirement by skating 3 periods and leading the Whites to a 2-0 meaningful win.  He caped off the evening by staying out later than  Frank at the Bar.  Gary the Ghost helped the Whites win the "Meaningless" game with some great saves.  Brian the Brain had his star defensemen, TZ, kick one past him after He stopped a  blast by Thor.  Thor ruined his shut out when he scored in the first period.  His son, Miller Lite, scored a pair for the Whites as did JZ.  TZ and Rich Storm provided all of the scoring for the Reds. Peoria Art helped keep the Reds under control.

Mike "The Nailer" DeVivo is building his first bridge.  You may not remember the Nailer unless you made a trip to Peoria or Las Vegas, because Mike got involved in politics when he helped establish the new town of

Homer Glen and he hasn't been able to get free on a Friday all season.
    Mike showed up at our Lemont Lunch this week and told Hacksaw, Beak and Knarf about the bridge he was building, so we took a drive to the Nailer's house and we were astounded by what we saw.  You have to see it to believe it.

The Nailer last appeared on the Duffer Wanted list, just before the Las Vegas trip.  He also played in a 3 hour marathon game in Peoria.  He promises to be less political and more visible this season.  The big question remains, "Will he be called a Bridge Builder after building just one bridge?"
