My niece Sandi Zani arranged a wonderful family reunion in the Smoky Mountains where she grew up.  It was a place where we and other family members visited many times in the 70s and 80s. 

Carole, Michael and I drove 7 hours on Saturday June 19th and checked into the Hampton in Richmond KY. at 8:00 PM. Dan,  Sabine and their kids were right behind us. Kathie and Debbie waited for Michelle to play 3 softball games, where she batted 700.  They arrived at 4:00 AM.  We had a short 3 hour drive ahead of us on Sunday morning.

We arrived at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg by 2:00

We were on the 12th floor with a beautiful view of the Smokies.
