The Undefeated Wags Won a Thriller
26 seconds later! It looked like the Wags were off to a 24-0 projected win. The Frenzy finally scored with 2:15 left to play. Mano answered that goal 45 seconds later with an assist from Mike "M&M "Miller. The projected score dropped to 15-1 after one. The Frenzy woke up and scored 4 straight goals in the second period while the Wags watched in amazement. The third period started with a 5-5 tie. Hornsberger took a pass from Letto and
took the lead back early in the third. Two minutes later, Kevin "Smooth as" Glass scored with assists from Lopatka and Mano. That 2 goal lead didn't last long because the Frenzy scored 2 quick goals on the next shift. We now had a 7-7 tie with 7 minutes left to play. That's when Jay the Road Runner DeMaria took a pass from Killer Kyle and fired a low shot that rattled around the goalie's pads then rolled over the goal line for the game winning goal. Tommy Z added an insurance goal 40 seconds later that was assisted by Mano's assist that gave him and Tom 4 points for the night. Sandowski and Lopatka teamed up to set up Gerstner for the clincher with 2:54 left to play. That goal gave the Wags a 10-7 thrilling win to cap an undefeated championship season. Ed the Wall Waghorn made 12 saves in the final stanza to give him a total of 25 saves. The Wags shooters peppered the Frenzy goalie with 42 shots. Speed Racer Jeff will be back in the line up after saying all of the right things at his AHAI hearing. His grandpa pulled out the game score sheet and showed the board members that 3 Ninja players
were given game misconducts for fighting one Wags player. Maybe a 3rd man in?
