The Reds just couldn't get out of their zone, as Stump kicked out shot after shot. Geno started the scoring when he got a Mike Lopatka rebound and buried it into an empty net. Thor had a nice tip in when he out muscled Koss for the centering pass. AJ and his Dad had 3 goals while Terry had 2 crashes and a goal. By the end of the second period, the Whites were up 6-0! T&A and the Bookie extended the lead to 8-0. Rich Storm and Bill BTW did a nice job chasing Jeff and slowing him down by hook or crook. When he got past them. He hit a post or The Brain made a great save. It looked like the Brain was on his way to the first Duffer Shut Out in years, but Jeff finally solved the Brain with a break away goal in the closing minutes. Whites 8, Reds 1.

Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame

Emil sent me a note to tell me our old Peoria friend Pete Bardezbanian was posthumously inducted into the Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame on January 25, 2009. Dan Lopatka's old St. Rita coach, Jim Misiora, was also inducted with him.
