Goalie in chief, Stump, brought up Tweedy and the Ghost to tend the nets and they turned in a superb job, as both goalies carried a shut out into the final minutes of the first period. Rich Storm put an end to Gary the Ghost's shut out when he poked one past him with 3 minutes left to play in the first. Beak Jr. tied the score early in the second period, when he beat his little brother, Tweedy, with a turnaround wrist shot into the lower left corner. Brinks gave the Whites the meaningful lead with a tap in from Johnny Z. Beer nuts knotted the score with his patented back door poke. That tie lasted less than a minute when Hitman scored the meaningful winner for the Ghostly Whites. Peoria Duffer in Chief, Art Koudelka got a break away goal, when he was sprung on a break out pass from Klinger that Beak deflected up to the speeding Art, who blew it past Tweedy for a 4-2 lead. The Reds made it close with a late goal by Tommy Z, but Beak Jr. iced the 5-3 win with another blast past his brother. Tweedy and the Ghost turned in fine performances as they stoned many shooters.

Rich Storm is back! The day after he sent the above beauties
to the Duffer News room, Uncle Bob sent 4 JPGs that I added call outs to.
Hacksaw wouldn't believe that these were un-retouched photos. Uncle Bob
was pleased that his hockey stuff was dry in a few hours under that Arizona
Desert Sun.
I had several requests to post the following Duffer Toon
that was circulated on e-mail last month, when Klinger had some gas money sent
to him on I-55, but he spent half of his gas money on lunch and then got
stranded the following day, when he ran out of gas again.
