	Nick Helps his Dad Get a Win!

The Anvil had a new challenger this week as Robert (Strooss) Granato brought his 21 year old nephew out to guard the White's net. The Kid, Jason, was doing well for a rookie. New goalies usually have a hard time stopping Duffer flutter blasts. The Reds grabbed an early lead, when Tom Butt Head Morgan blew one by him, then Beak gave the Reds a Meaningful lead with a redirection of a pass that went from Nick to Magoo to Beak. Brinks tied up the Meaningful contest with a shot that beat Eddie to the stick side, then added another to give the Reds a 2-1 meaningful lead that lasted until Magoo tipped in a pass from Nick. Geno scored the game winner with a break away goal for the Whites. The Anvil's toughest save came


	Thor took the night off. We had to go about 10 minutes before someone provided us with a laugh.

when his stellar defenseman, Klinger, fired a bullet at him, then followed his shot to the net and crashed Eddie's head into the pipes. (He had help from Brinks)
The meaningless contest turned out to be just as exciting with the lead changing back and forth. The Reds were up early with goals by Butt Head, Beak, Basket Ball Jones Magoo and Nick, but the Whites came storming back to take a 2 goal lead late in the game with 3 goals by the Z brothers and 2 by Perry. Jason (Kid Belcher) let his youthful exuberance get the best of him when he got a 7-5 lead, He started rubbing it in to his Uncle and cousin Rob. Beak had a talk with Nick and told him to pull the cork. We couldn't have a kid win his first Duffer game, so Nick went to work in the last 4 minutes, he set up Morgan for his second goal. Then He scored on a break away to tie it at 7. With the clock ticking down, He pulled Jason to the left, then slid a perfect pass to Strooss for the winning goal that silenced his nervy nephew. Nick finished with 2 goals and 5 assists. He was able to drag his Dad out to the bar for a celebration at Bonos.

Reds 8 (Morgan 2, Nick 2, Magoo 1, Beak 1, Robert 1, Tim Smith 1)
Whites 7 (Brinks 2, Perry 2, Tommy 1, Johnny 1 and Geno 1)
I was told the final score was 8-7, but I thought Tommy had 2 and Nick had 3, so that would make it 9-8! I like that score better.

	I don't know the kid goalie's name but he sure was belching an awful lot. This kid could go toe to toe with Thor! On at least two occasions His burp was so long and loud I thought the period had ended. "Kid Belcher."
