skated three 20 minute stop time periods and there was only one meaningful goal. Grant set up Beak with a drop pass, that Beak fired at the net and a defender changed its direction, so that The Brain never had a chance. The Meaningless contest was close for a while. The Whites went up 4-0, but the Reds came storming back to take a 5-4 lead with a hat trick by Beak's Grandson, Jeff Lopatka. Grant went to work after having the Brain foil 4 or 5 of his breakaways. The Whites ended up with a 9-5 lead after 60 minutes of play. The crafty veterans, Beak, Hacksaw and Knarf went to the locker room and got a jump on the beer cooler, while some of the hardy Duffers played another full period. I
understand Klinger gave up 10 goals in the 20 minute overtime without his
partner Knarf. It would be hard to declare a winning goalie, since they rotated every 10 minutes.

The Rivermen Game was very exciting as they shut out the
Nailers, 3-0 . The Rivermen are only 5 points out of first, but they are only 1 point away from missing the play offs. Jason has them playing much better than they did last November. They have won 10 straight home games.
