Attendance 22  Report by Beak

Goalies Dominate!

Tweedy got the call from Stump, the Goalie Pimp, to replace the Anvil and  that gave the Brain a chance go back to his favorite White sweater.  Both goalies were tough as they carried a double shut out into the second period.  Berserk spoiled Tweedy's shut out bid, when he fired a low shot through a screen that found the lower right corner.  Tommy Z put the Reds on the board a little later with a blast past the Brain.  Beak put the Whites back on top, when he

poked a rebound past his son Dan, for an incest goal with 10 seconds left in the second period.  That looked like it would hold up to be the Meaningful and Meaningless game winner, until Mini Wheezer tied the game in the third period.  Art finally solved Tweedy when he one timed a pass from Beak for the thrilling game winner.  Whites 3, Reds 2.  The Whites also won the Meaningful contest 1-0.
We got some good action images from Beak's brother.  Herb brought his grandsons out to see the Duffers play.  There are plenty of pictures on line.
http://www.lopatka.net/4-08-05/index.htm Beak started posting some of the Peoria pictures that the Kid Goalie's Mom, Donna, took last week.  While you are online, go to the Duffer nick name page.  http://www.lopatka.net/nick names/index.htm Beak recently updated many of the links, check it out to see if your picture matches your name.  The June 11th Picnic date may be changed, stay tuned.  The Grant Importing Golf outing will be on June 18th.  We are looking for nominations for the 2005 Klinger Krash Award.  Remember that the winner must be present, so don't nominate someone that won't be at the picnic.

This was the first time my brother ever saw me play hockey.  His grandsons enjoyed skating between periods.

Herb got me into photography when I was 10, our bed room was his dark room.
I learned to fall asleep with a red light burning in my face.  He filmed all of my high school football games.
