The Whites were helping the Reds all night long, as they kept passing the puck to them. The Brain did his best, but after one of his defensemen kicked Hitman's centering pass into the net, the evening went down hill from there. Beak changed on the fly, picked up the break out pass and turned it over to Zagnuts who set up Beer nuts for a back door goal. Brinks made it 3-0 when he turned over the puck for Hitman's second goal. Tommy gave Beer nuts his second goal with a beautiful pass in the third period. Zagnuts made it 5-0 with a meaningless goal. It looked like Tweedy would record a rare Duffer shut out, but Rich Storm spoiled that with a break away goal late in the game. Stormy added another and Berserk scored in the final minute to make it a respectable 5-3 win for the Reds. Tweedy managed to kick out all meaningful shots and record a 4-0 Meaningful shut out.

Be Kind to Goalie Week
With the Anvil and the Ghost out of town, Stump had to call up our 5th string goalie, Tweedy. That means he had to bring him pads and goalie equipment since Tweedy's dad would never buy him pads when he showed goalie tendencies. Stump was running late and as he turned on to Briarcliff, traffic was backed up because some NHRA loony was backing his drag strip car and

trailer into his drive way. The license # of the tow vehicle was Duffer24. Stump was grumpy all night until he got to the Bar and read the Duffer News. Thanks to Ron for making copies for everybody.

paying.
(Right) Stormy asks Beak to take a picture of his payment so that he
will have proof. Last week, # 8 was wrongly listed as a non
payer. This week, #16 and #18 were on the non payers list, but as
we know, our barmaid has been under a lot of pressure on Friday nights,
so we will wait with the accusations. |
