As the King used to say, "You have to play 2 periods"
When you listen to NHL players spew  clichés, you are sure to hear, (You have to play 3 periods!"  As you well know, the Duffers have their own rules and habits.  The Reds played the first period and scored 6 times, including Magoo's meaningful goal.  The Whites could only muster 1 goal by Brinks.  The Reds took the second period off, while the Whites came back with 6 unanswered goals and took a

7-6 lead.  Thor got 2 goals to give the Whites a 3-1 meaningful win.  The 2 Sons of Brinks did their best to get Beak a goal, but the Anvil came up big on every shot, even the flutter blast that had him baffled for a while, but Eddie clamped it.  Bill by the Way fired a shot that missed Beak and went past Eddie for a goal.  The Reds thought Beak got a piece of the shot and was credited with the goal.  Tweedy came over and told his dear old Dad that Toronto ruled his goal was a kick in.  Beak said, "Is that how you treat your Dad, you try to disallow a goal I didn't even score."  Beak had a scare when he was near the net facing the shooter and BBTW fired a bullet that went right between his legs.  He told Rob that if that puck hit him, he would have been rolling around like a French soccer player.  Red goals were scored by Special Ed, Basketball Jones and several by Tweedy and Tommy.  White goals were scored by Koss (2) BBTW and several by Rob and Donny.  Once the Reds came off of vacation, they tied the game at 7, then the Whites went ahead 8-7 with the game winding down, Tommy Z and Tweedy popped a pair past the Brain for a 9-8 win.  The Whites came back with a flurry of shots in the final seconds, but The Anvil came up big to preserve the victory for the Red Army.

Eddie's daughter turned 21 on Wednesday, so what did she do?  She celebrated the occasion by bringing a cooler full of Strohs beer to the parking lot.  Brinks added a cooler full of Amstel and we lived up to our motto, "A Drinking Team with a Hockey Problem"  Some guys stayed until the last beer was gone and never made it to Wild Wings.  Hacksaw was one of the first to get to Wild Wings and place his order.  He was one of the last one to get his food, after 2 visits to the Manager.  One of our regular waitresses told us that she was there 7 months and they have had 6 managers!  Reminds us of our days at Dennys.  Harvey was late so he only played 2 periods, so when Matt showed up, Hacksaw put down the
