Stump is Spectacular!
With 3 of the young guns missing, because of a men's league tournament, there were plenty of chances for the old guys. 14 year old
Jeff got a chance to play again, but this time the old guys showed no mercy Jeff was held, tripped, hooked and cross checked, after his 4 goal game last week. Jeff had 5 or 6 good chances this week, but
Stump showed no signs of rust on that metallic hip and stopped every one of them. The Meaningful contest was close all night, as
Geno beat the Brain on a break away in the first period, but Magoo came right back to tie the game on a beautiful pass from Butt head. Geno gave the Reds the lead with another break away goal. That lead lasted until late in the game when Jeff slid a nice pass over to Brinks, who flipped it past Stump. That was the only goals that Stump allowed in his first game since he was called in to action in Las Vegas a few years ago! Brian held the Reds to 2 meaningful goals, but he gave up 3 meaningless goals to
Rich Storm, Stretch Z and Bill BTW. Bill was trying to hit Beak with a pass, but it hit Butt Head in the Butt and the puck blew past the Brain. Rich Storm's goal was set up by a great pass from Geno. Johnny Z scored on a back
hander. (What else) There were a number of post shots, but Mr. Clean had the trick shot of the night when his shot hit the right post, the puck then followed the goal line over to the left post, then bounced off of the left
post and went out of harms way.

Tommy,
Tweedy and Art go 3-0 and out in National tournament! 2
other teams were 3-0 but they ran up the scores in their wins, so they advanced
to the finals. Their team won 8-6, 11-3 and 6-3. When Plus 14 isn't
good enough, I don't know what is?
