Goalies Rule, Duffers Celebrate!

Bolingbrook, IL  September 12, 2003  Attendance 22
Eddie the Anvil and Brian the Brain were spectacular as they tossed Meaningful shut outs at their opponents.  The Reds managed to score some meaningless goals in the second and third periods, after they wore the Brain out with 30 shots in the first period.  Brian would have had to stop 10 more if Fruit Cake's shots had found their way through traffic.  Fortunately for the Whites, everyone of Fred's shots hit somebody in front of the net.  The Anvil not only stopped all Meaningful shots, but he also had a Meaningless shut out!  Hit man had a chance to score a meaningful goal, but he passed to Harvey.  Miller Lite had a chance to give Hit man a pass late in the game, but he chose to score his 4th meaningless goal.  He has to learn the Duffer scoring system..

Noteworthy

  • Klinger came off of the DL and almost spoiled Eddies Shut out
  • Brinks ended his hold out and threw a great parking lot party
  • Harvey ended his hold out and reluctantly sat under the Pepsi sign
  • Hacksaw is still disabled with a repaired knee

Tweedy's Father-in-law received a new heart thanks to an unknown organ donor.   Wheezer is driving and he has lost some girth!...Klinger was shot by Buckshot, but it was with a puck, not a gun!!!!!  Uncle Bob and Super Dave ended their scoring streak at 1 game…...Papa Joe sang some love songs to Dee and he promised to sing Johnny Cash's "I walked the line" (for 50 years), but chickened out at the last minute.  He needed more points for that.

J.B Quote of the week,                                                                                   "We have become the people that our parents warned us about."
