Audrey started the 7th inning with a line drive single.  We needed base runners because we were down 3 runs. Olivia followed that hit with a walk.  That brought Julie up to the plate representing the tying run.

Coach Mary congratulates Audrey as she puts up the stop sign.

Julie hit a long drive over the right fielder's head, so Audrey and Olivia scored as Julie was racing around third with the tying run.

Julie scored easily without a throw!  The celebration begins.

The whole team comes out to congratulate Julie, but we need another rally to get the lead.

After a hit and 2 walks, Emma stepped up  to the plate with the bases loaded. She lofted a humpbacked liner to right that landed just fair for a 2 out bases clearing double.

Dash (Left) dashed home with the lead run as Emma headed to first. Two more runners scored to give the Wildcats a 3 run lead.

The wildcats were now 3 outs away from a fantastic finish. Joy (Pitching) got the second out with a grounder to Audrey (Left) who scooped it up and flipped it to Emma.

Grace (Above) raced in and  ended the game with a beautiful sliding catch.

The girls rushed in and started the celebration.

Michelle (Back row left) led her 8th  grade team to the IESA Regional championship. After College, she coached Emma and Julia's U-10 team at the Bulls/White Sox academy.  She was so proud to see them playing winning softball with her cousin Audrey.

Six years ago, Audrey (Center) was thrilled to be holding her cousin Michelle's trophy. Michelle was a 4 year starter at Romeoville High School.  She went on to star at the College of DuPage.
