4 Goals for JJ! (Jeff & Jay)

September 1, 2016. Wags Vs. Angry Pirates
Last week, the scoring was equally distributed with 8 goals in each period.  This week the game continued that trend.  The Angry Pirates  scored 5 goals and Wags scored 3 in the first period.  Tommy Z-Man Zagorski got us off to a great start when he scored an unassisted goal just 12 seconds after the opening face off.  The Pirates scored a minute later and went on to build a 4-1 lead in the next 10 minutes.  Mike "m&m" Miller (Assisted  by Jack "Teen Idol" Iandoli) stopped the bleeding wit 3:15 left in period 1.  Jason "Bara" Kuta made it 4-3 at 1:43 with an assist from Goalie Waghorne and things were looking up until the Pirates scored with 36 seconds left and had Wags chasing 2 when they started the 3rd period. 
Wags not only erased that 2 goal deficit in the second period, but they took an 8-5 lead with 5 unanswered goals in the period.  Jay

"Roadrunner" Demaria  and Speed Racer Jeff Lopatka scored 2 goals each while Matt the Swatter Swastek scored the 5th.  Those goals were assisted by Bara Kuta, Dan Lopatka, Tommy Z-Man and Alex "Rancic"Rancic. 
Dan "The Man" Lopatka  made it 9-5 with a goal early in the final stanza with an assist from Matt Swasatek.  That goal put Wags on cruise control as they coasted to a comfortable win.  The Angry Pirates were able to add 2 Meaningless goals in the final minutes to make the final score 9-7.
Ed the Wall Waghorne made 26 saves while the Angry Pirates' goalie was hit 56 times!

I added the pictures below since I get to go to 2 "Beer League" games a week. 

My grandsons got simultaneous penalties last night.

Mike's team is stocked with Duffers.

I had a back to school rocket launch for family and friends. Catching a rocket in motion is tougher than freezing the Roadrunner or Speed racer.
