Happy Birthday Anvil!

The party started early, as Eddie had 3 bottles of Crown Royal ready to celebrate his 53rd trip around the sun.  When the rumor reached locker room 11, that Eddie popped the top of one of those bottles, people started to reach for their White sweaters.  (Turn up the speakers and listen to a song that was lifted from Duffer CD II.  "The Goalie is Drunk")  The sides looked a little tilted, since the Reds had most of the old guys.  The only meaningful players on the Whites were Tom O'Connor and Fruitcake.

The Reds were loaded with Harvey, Frank, Beak, Klinger and Magoo. (Where is Thor?)  It didn't look fair, because the Whites had little chance of winning a Meaningful game, but the Brain came up with a meaningful shut out, as did the well lubricated Anvil.  The Meaningless game was filled with scoring, started by Mini-Wheezer only 10 seconds into the game when he put the Reds up on a nice pass from TZ.  Tommy Z added a 3 more as the Anvil was stopping everything.  Back Hand Johnny was the only White guy to solve the Birthday Boy.  The first period ended with the Reds up 4-1.  TZ's Hat Trick goal was a thing of beauty that started when Scott the Bookie passed to Harvey, who made a move that froze the Brain, you might say he had a Brain Cramp.  Harvey surprised everyone when he passed to TZ, who one timed a shot that deflected off of Stump, onto the Brain's shoulder.  The puck went way up and came floating down and hit the Brain in the back and trickled across the goal line. 
The Maestro made it 4-2 early in the second period., but George (Basketball Jones' Guest) got that back to make it 5-2.  Special Ed, the Bench coach for the Reds, who was drinking a bottle of Amstel made a trip to the locker and gave George a can of Strohs to fix his ailing groin.  The Strohs worked, as George scored on his next shift.  Art finally solved the Anvil for a 3 goals to make it 6-5.  George gift wrapped the Birthday win for Eddie when Tweedy sprung him for a break away Hat Trick goal.  Beak had another great scoring opportunity foiled by Bill BTW's Guest, Terry Nance.  Tweedy sailed a beautiful pass to his dad, but just as the pass arrived, Terry gave beak a little hook that ticked him off, so he gave Terry a little friendly slash like he did last week to the Flea, but Terry didn't apologize.  After a few beers at Wild Wings, he told Beak he would apologize next time  he gets slashed by an Senior citizen. 

13 years ago, on 12/22/95 Harvey got hurt in the locker room when a can of beer hit him in the head.  His fluffy hair may have saved his life.  Muzzy was identified as the Beer  thrower.
