Welcome To

This week's Duffer News was made possible by the 5 dedicated Duffers who gave up their valuable time at work to send in a summary of the exciting game.  Their reports are listed in chronological order.  Thanks to Mini Wheezer for starting the ball rolling, his report got a quick correction from Fruit Cake. The Flea, Art and the Brain followed up with reports.

I have been under the weather I tried the Canadian Cure that the Flea sent me, but I couldn't find anyone to perform the last and most important act, so my fever stayed around for a few more days.  Since the headaches started, I have taken Vicodin, Aspirin, Walgreen's Sinus medication and Aleve, nothing worked.  My wife dragged me to the doctor today and he gave me  a 5 day supply of Azithromycin that should knock out my sinus infection.  I forgot to ask him if I can have a few beers for lunch.  (That was part of the Flea's Canadian Cure, Plenty of Fluids)

My Orthopedic Surgeon called and cheered me up with some of his knowledge.  He said Diarrhea is inherited, I bit on that and said, "Really?" He said, " yea, it runs in your genes"

Attendance 26

10-6 or 7 Meaningless Tie Thor 1- Reds 0

10-7 White...... Steve and Rob G. and Art gave Jason fits all night but the real story was "The Brain" was outstanding all night. His save of the night was a tip by BBTW from a Flea point shot. Much like the game on Thanksgiving I had the best seat in the house.......waiting in the slot for a rebound......But the Brain flashed the glove and held on.......See Ya Friday     Mini-Weezer

Beak,  It was Whites 10, Reds 6. The Brain played an outstanding game for the Whites, especially the second and third periods. Stump was ready to don the pads but Jason Granato came at the last minute. I don't remember who scored all the goals but I do know Rich Storm of the Reds scored the first goal of the game on a point shot and I did not put any in my own net.

The Brain played like he was protecting his 8 incher.

We, the Whites, had Robert and Steve Granato, who were flying all over the place. Tommy Z played his usual unselfish Duffer game, looking to set up his Red teammates when he could have been scoring at will. Stump pulled a hamstring and did not play for a portion of the third period.  Art came back to fill in and became my defense partner. Klinger did not crash one time.  The Whites had 12 players total and I think the Reds had the same. Brinks was not there so everyone dispersed immediately after the game to find beer. That is all I can remember. Thanks,    Fred

Beak, For the Whites: (the winners) I had 3 Johnny Z. had 3 Thor had 1 (the only meaningful in the game) Steve G. had 1 ART

Hi Beak,  We missed you. Hope you are feeling better. It was a busy night for goals.
For the Reds, I will do my best to remember. Mike Presecky got one. Bill By The Way got 1, Tommy got at least 3, "Special Ed" got 1 or 2, See you Friday.  Regards,  Perry

Hi Beak, The whites won 10-6. For the whites, John scored 2 real nice top shelf backhanders. Art got at least 1 on a nice low shot from a tough angle in the 2nd. I think he had a second one as well. Steve and Robert Granato scored a few, and white won the meaningful game as well, but I cant recall who got the goal. For the reds, I know that Special Ed continued his scoring streak when he scored on me with a nice backhander in the 3rd period. He also gets 1/2 a goal, as he and someone else swatted a bouncing puck past me, but no one was sure who made contact, so we will have to split that one. Thats all the goals I can remember....that was 3 whole days ago. My ears are still ringing from all
the posts they hit on me.

The reds were very strong in the 1st and 3rd, but with a great defensive effort headed by Art and Stump, we were able to hold them off.   Brian

Merry Christmas
