Romeoville, IL 10/03/08 Attendance 21
Meaningful Goals Return! Friday 10/10/08, Perry the Flea is coming in from Huston just to get in shape for Phoenix. Vidas "Formica" flew in from Seattle last week to do the same. Formica got a workout, because the Whites had only 3 defensemen. The Game was dominated by the Reds early as Jeff "JLO" Lopatka got Stump loosened up early with several break away goals that gave the Reds an early lead. Thor finally put his fishing pole away and scored for the Whites. Basketball Jones had a beautiful tip in on a pass from the Maestro to give the Reds a 3-1 lead. Hacksaw closed the gap to 3-2, but Jeff struck again. To regain the 2 goal lead.

The Maestro and Jeff added a goal each toward the end of the 2nd period, as Bill By The Way and Tom "T&A" Ambrosia matched those goals to make the score 6-4 in favor of the Reds after 2 periods. The White slipped into passing gear in the 3rd when John "JK" Koss started the comeback with a quick goal in the 3rd.. Brinks tied it a few minutes later when a clearing pass by the Reds hit a pad and went right to the tape of his stick, He flipped it past a startled Anvil, who was still trying to shake off the Koss goal. Hacksaw got the game winner when he poked in a rebound. T&A put the icing on the cake with his 2nd goal to give the Whites an 8-6 Meaningless win. Stump tossed a 4-0 Meaningful shut out! Injury Reports: Special Ed rammed into the same post of the same net that ended his season last season. He did set up Geno for the first meaningful goal of the season. The MRI showed a "severe partial tear of the MCL and a slight tear of the medial meniscus" No surgery but 6 weeks of PT and He said if all goes well, He will consider skating in 8 weeks. Tommy Z took a puck below the left eve in a
Wags game that fractured his Orbital Bone and required 11 stitches. His wife says he is planning on showing up on Friday to see The Flea. Tom
turned 38 on October 5th and his new driver's license will show his
black eye for the next 4 years. We'll have to get Amanda to Card him at
Wild Wings. Arizona Information!
I need to know if you want a ticket to the Coyotes-Sabers on Friday, March 6th. I'm going to work on that ASAP.

The King sent the following Amtrak info:
Amtrak Departs Naperville
Arrives Flagstaff 31 hours later
$133 Coach per person - $113 for age 62 and over
$270 Roomette – sleeps 2 – in addition to the coach fare – this fare would
be shared by 2 persons
I would probably elect to fly back.
I have the group sales lady checking on a better fare.
