Lillia is the Most Improved Player of the year, edging out her Uncle Joe by 10,000 votes. Last January, she was just learning to skate, by Thanksgiving she was dropping the puck and adroitly dodging Duffers.

Bus Trip To Pittsburgh is set for March 17-20, 2011!

	Reds win Meaningful Game 4-1!

Drinking Team Fails Miserably!
We sent a cooler full of beer back after our Friday Game. We don't mind bringing beer, but we don't expect to have to carry any home after a game. Most of the hardy Duffers who got off of the couch on Friday did their best to empty the cooler, but there were only 14 beer drinkers there on Friday night. Us old guys have the feeling that the young guys are trying to kill us. Beak was on the ice for more than 75 of our 90 minutes! Harvey was on for 85 minutes.
Peoria When Men were Men!

It was only a few years ago, when we had 30 guys for our Thanksgiving skate, 25 made it to Friday's game and another 20 went to Peoria to skate in the Civic Center for 3 hours on Saturday!

We never had beer left over. We would then watch the Rivermen play and then have a few beers in the bars with them, spend the night and return home on Sunday afternoon. Emil reports that coach Jason Christi would like to have us down to Bloomington for a game, but we are reluctant to accept an invitation and lose our Drinking Team status. Only 9 duffers had enough stamina to skate 2 days in a row. 2 of them were in their 70s and 3 of them were over 60. Beak felt real good on Saturday morning, so he is up for a Bloomington game. We can always count on Art and Emil to fill up our bench if we can get 10 or 12 guys that want to go.
The 9 guys on the Stamina Honor Roll are:
Harvey, Beak, Fruitcake, Klinger, Magoo, Rich Storm, Tipin Terry, Mini Wheezer and the Brain (But he didn't break a sweat)
The Marathon Game

The Reds got a Hat Trick from Tom "TO" O'Connor and Geno and Mini Wheezer each added one. The Whites got 2 goals from Bill BTW, Rich Storm, Harvey, and Tipin Terry each scored a goal to gain a tie. Terry's goal was scored after a Whistle that never blew. Jimmy Buffett could write a song for that, like "If your Phone doesn't ring, it's me." We need your $100 Deposit for the Pittsburgh.

	Reds Dominate, Then Sleep!

Reds !!

Reds got 3 goals in the first 5 minutes, Tom "Dimples" Zagorski, Mini Wheezer and V-Man jumped all over the Brain. Tommy felt sorry for the Brain when he had a chance to make it 4-0 on a break away, so he slowed down and passed it to an old guy. The Whites came roaring back with goals by T&A, Art and his son AJ. Tommy scored again to give the Reds a 4-3 lead after one. T&A scored


	We had a nice turn out for our Turkey Skate. Thanks to Bill BTW's daughter for taking this fine picture

again to tie it at 4-4 early in the second period. Andy Beer Nuts and Rich Storm put the Whites up 6-4 after 2 periods. Mini Wheezer scored again for the Reds to make it close, but the Whites pulled away with a pair of goals by Bill BTW and a blast by Art to give the Whites a 9-4 Thanksgiving win. Tweedy and the Brain registered meaningful shut outs!

MVP goes to Terry for some great brats.
Stars of the day go to Mini Wheezer, T&A, Bookie and Beak for bringing enough beer to last us through Friday's game.
