Wags Hockey is a "beer League" Hockey team that is held together by goalie Ed. Waghorn.  They have been together for more than 10 years.  They dominated leagues when most of the players were in their 30s, but now that they are in their 40s, they have had to add some younger legs to stay competitive.  See the links below:

Wags Down Synergy One 8-3

The Wags Warriors peppered Patrick Labelle with 37 shots and coasted to an easy 8-3 playoff win.  Ed Waghorn kicked out 24 shots and Tommy Z picked up a Natural Hat Trick in the first period.  Russ Real qualified for a Playmaker patch when he assisted all of Tom's goals!  Steve Kreppers got the final goal of the period on a pass from Dean Paloumpis just 2 minutes into the first period.  Ryan Helms scored an unassisted goal to make it Wags 4, Synergy 1 after one period. 2 minutes into the second period, Dan

Granato was whistled off for tripping.  Ed Waghorn was peppered wit many shots, but when Lopatka finally got control of a rebound, he fired a strike to Granato as he stepped out of the sin bin.  He walked in, put the goalie down and shelved a back breaking goal.  3 minutes later, Dan Lopatka cruised in from the point and took a pass from Dan Granato and buried it to make it 6-1 at the end of 2.  Boyd Prucha was also credited with an assist.  Synergy's Derek Knorr scored in the first minute of the 3rd period, but Dan Lopatka took a pass from Jon Woodring a few minutes later and made it 7-2.  Ben Fertig got the Synergy to within 4 at the 6:56

mark, but Dan Granato got that back with an unassisted goal 4 minutes later at 2:56 to give the Wags an 8-3 playoff win.
