October 29, 2010, Players Inc. Vs. Wags at Center Ice Ed "The Wall" Waghorn lived up to his nick name as he had his finest game of the season. He played so well, that he may have lost his invitation to play in the Pittsburgh Penguin's Igloo with the Duffers. Dan's Dad needs a goalie for the Duffer road trip to Pittsburgh and the Duffers favor goalies with big 5 holes. The Players Inc. could not find any holes in Eddies armor until the third period when the Wags were cruising comfortably with a 5-0 lead. Kyle "Killer" Sandowski scored on a pass from Dan "The Man" Lopatka, just 4 and a half minutes into the game. 10 minutes later, Killer set up Pallelo for a goal that gave Wags a 2-0 lead. Two minutes later, Kevin "Smooth as" Glass was set up by some adroit passing by Jaybird
DeMaria and Lopatka.

Waghorn kicked out all 8 shots
in the first period. Tommy "Shady" Black and Chris "Dave" Schultz blocked several other shots to help keep Players Inc. off of the score board in the first period. Sanzer got sent to the sin bin for holding at 14:37 and Pallelo made him pay, as he scored a power play goal just 12 seconds later on an assist from Tony "The Tiger" Letto. "Porta Johnny" got caught hooking, but wags killed the penalty with some great saves by the Wall. Tom "Dimples" Zagorski made it 5-0 with another Power play goal with 5:35 left in the second period. Russ "Porn Star" Reel and Shultz were credited with the assists. Ed the Wall Waghorn was spectacular again with 11 saves and he got help with blocked shots by Gary "The Inhibitor" Hibbler. Hummel spoiled the shut out early in the third period with a screen

his Hat Trick!. The Players Inc. added a meaningless power play goal, but Waghorn kicked out 10 more shots to preserve a 6-3 statement win. Pat "The Cat" Cleary put on Lopatka's #12 jersey, but that number never made the score sheet. Jon "Woody" Woodring had a similar fate for #23. e-mail your comments to:

Anyone who plays beer league hockey can appreciate this, especially if
they’re married and have trouble getting out the door. Several of my own
teammates go through this each week and sometimes don’t show up. The video
was made using a xtranormal.com, which
allows you to make these cartoons with the dialogue you write.
