February 2, 2010 It only took 22 seconds for Tom Zagorski to team up with Jason Sato and score the first goal of the game. On the following face off, it only took 17 seconds for Mike Campbell to get sent to the sin bin for a major league hook. The power play didn't do any damage, as Goalie Ed Waghorn and the PK squad held on to the lead. The District #5 team tied it a few minutes later, but Jason Sato scored a power play goal on a pass from Campbell with 1:07 left in the penalty to take the lead back. Campbell assisted Jay Demaria's goal 2 minutes later to gave Wags a 3-1 lead going into the 2nd period. District 5 cut the lead in half with a goal 5 minutes into the period. Pete LaChance got whistled off a minute later and the lead looked in

doubt, but once again, the PK unit not only killed off the penalty with some great saves by Waghorn, but they grabbed the 2 goal lead back when Russ Real scored on a pass from Zagorski just 6 seconds after LaChance got out of the penalty box. That goal and penalty kill frustrated the District 5 team and one of their knuckle heads got a double minor for high sticking and unsportsmanlike conduct just 2 minutes later. Tony Letto took a pass from Russ Real and scored a power play goal just seconds before his first penalty expired. Sato scored another Power Play goal 28 seconds later with an assist from Campbell to give Wags a comfortable 6-2 lead going into the 3rd period. Those young guys didn't know what hit them. Pete LaChance gave them some hope when he got caught tripping, but the PK unit was flawless. Half way through the 3rd period, Dan Lopatka walked one defenseman, then stick handled past another before roofing a shot over the goalie to make it 7-2. With 6:06 left in the game, the District cut the lead to 7-3. Mike Campbell picked up his 3rd assist when he set up Jason Sato's hat trick a minute later. Campbell was given a game misconduct

for receiving a few punches. Sato added insult to injury when he scored an unassisted short handed goal with 2:30 left to play while LaChance was sitting out his 3rd penalty! The District 5 team scored a meaningless goal with 48 seconds left in the game. Ed Waghorn had one of his finest games, as he frustrated one young gun after another.
