April 27, 2010 District 5 Vs. Wags at Center Ice
20 seconds into the game, the D-5s scored on a break away. That was the only goal until Tom Zagorski and Jay DeMaria set up Dan Lopatka 3 minutes into the second period. That goal seamed to rattle the District 5 Goalie, because the Wags men put 3 more on the board in the next 6 minutes. No goals for 19 minutes, then 4 in 6 minutes. Pete Hornik scored with 8:08 left in the second period. The goal was assisted by Zagorski and Lopatka. Chris Ward scored 90 seconds later with assists going to Lopatka and Clery.

Hornik scored his second goal just 26 seconds later when Zagorski and Clery set him up. The 4 unanswered goal streak was broken 2 minutes later when Mrozck scored with 3:13 left in the second period. Chris Schultz answered that goal with a back breaker when he beat the buzzer with only 3 seconds left in the period. DeMaria picked up his second assist as Wags took a 5-2 lead into the third period. The Home team made a run at the=at lead with a goal just 3 minutes into period 3. They got to within 1 goal with 5:16 left in the game, but Hornik picked up his Hat Trick a minute later to salt away the 6-4 win. Dan Lopatka was credited with his 3rd assist and 4th point of the game. Wags also led the score sheet with 7 penalties. The refferee must have liked number 10, since he gave Tommy Z one for tripping and one for hooking. The Home team's number 10 had a trip, a hook and one for roughing. Clery had a hook and a trip and Mike Ladas, Schultz and DeMaria were whistled for the other 3 penalties. The official score sheet had Ed Waghorn down for 0 saves, but I'm sure Ed had 30-40
