Another Exciting Loss!

October 27, 2011, Snipers Vs. Wags at Center Ice
The Snipers, also known as the Adams family, jumped out to an early lead when Postal Posdal, one of the few guys on the team that is not named Adams, scored 2 goals in the first 5 minutes of the game.  Tom Adams scored a minute later and gave the Snipers a comfortable 3-0 lead that lasted until Jay "Roadrunner" Demaria added a pair of unassisted goals. One came in the last minute of the first period and the second one was scored in the first minute of the second period.

Sticks and pucks may break ...

We almost tied it when Russ "Porn Star" Reel rang up the post. Posdal picked up his Hat trick and gave his team a 4-2 lead.  Russ cut the lead in half when he buried a slap shot that was set up with a point to point pass from Tony "The Tiger" Letto and Dan "The Man" Lopatka.  Posdal answered that with his 4th goal with 3:19 left to play in the 2nd stanza.  Tony cut it to 5-4 with an unassisted goal with 49 seconds left to play in period 2.  The Snipers woke up and scored 3 unanswered goals in a 34 minute period, starting at 10:10 and ending at 6:50.  So Wags was looking at an 8-4 deficit with 5 minutes left to play.  Schultz went coast to coast and scored an unassisted goal with 4:56 left in the game. Lopatka set up Chris "Mad Man" Marzyn 2 minutes later to get the snipers nervous.  The Roadrunner scored another unassisted goal to make it 8-7 with 2:07 left in the game. Tom "Dimples" Zagorski took a pass from Gary "The Inhibiter" Hibbler and set up The Porn Star for a game tying goal with 1:37 left to play.  The euphoria ended when Cob Coburn scored the game winner with 9 seconds left in the game.  Ed "The Wall" Waghorn made 28 saves while his counter part had to make 31 saves.  The Referees were stingy with assists, as they declared 9 of the 17 goals unassisted, so I'll give Kevin "Smooth as" Glass  and Gary "The Inhibiter" Hibbler assists.
