	Ed Straightens the Stix!


	March 15, 2017. Wags Vs Crooked Stix (Attendance 2) Alec "The Angel" Deangelo had the hat trick plus 1 and received the magic wand from Matt "The Swatter" Swastek who was the recipient last week for his 4 goal night. Mario "Zillo" Verzillo assisted on Alec's first 3 goals. Old Man Tommy Zagorski had a goal and an assist. Tory "Snuffy" Snick had a goal and 2 assists. Roadrunner Jay scored a big goal that stopped a momentum shift that occurred when the Crooked Stix scored a goal to cut the lead to 5-2. Jay scored 18 seconds later and silenced the Stix enough so that everyone heard Ed Waghorne shout, "That is you first goal this session!" Alec followed that goal with a goal that triggered the 5 goal lead running clock. The running clock was halted by a Stix goal with 3:10 left in the game, but Swatter Swastek scored 35 seconds later to trigger the running clock and help Keven "Smooth As" Glass get out of the sin bin in record time. Final score was Wags 8 Crooked Stix 3.


	Alec was awarded the MVP Glowing Rod.


	The game featured great stick work by both teams. Their were many passes and shots foiled by quick sticks. Wags had one more shot on goal with 31. The difference in the game was goaltending, Ed had his best game of the year. Jack "The Ripper" Iandoli, Kevin "Smooth As" Glass, Matt "The Swatter" Swastek and Liam "LC" Conroy blocked a lot of shots and keep the shots on goal below 50. Ed "The Wall" Waghorne was called in to help the Duffers the following night and he turned in another gem. He had a shut out going for the first half of the game while his team gave him a comfortable 3 goal lead. Ken Lopatka who is the big brother of Dan "Da Coach" Lopatka scored 2 goals to help Ed to an 8-4 win. Ed begged me to not tell who scored the 4th goal on him. Hint: It
