September 25, 2016. Wags Vs. Rangers The Wags hockey team has been on a revolving goalie system. Dan "The Man" Lopatka and Ed the "GM" Waghorne played the last 2 games, so they called up 16 year old Chad Dodero to throttle the Rangers. Chad faced 32 shots and made 30 saves while his team was busy giving a comfortable lead. The first period was scoreless until Killer Kyle Sandowski set up #21 Roadrunner Jay with 7:07 left to play in the first period. Five minutes later, Tommy "Z-Man" Zagorski and Killer set up another Roadrunner goal to give the 16 year old a 2 goal lead going into the 2nd stanza. Chad made 10 saves in that

period. Looking at the score sheet, I thought I was fighting a bout with dyslexia when I saw 2 goals by #21 in the first and 2 goals by #12 in the second period. Dan "The Man" Lopatka scored at 12:42 and again at 2:37. He was assisted by #21 (Roadrunner Jay) and Bobby "Serial Killer" Kilian. Kevin "Smooth as" Glass put a dagger into the Ranger's hopes when he scored with 6.2 seconds left in the second period. Chad made 10 more saves in period 2 to take a 5-0 shutout into the 3rd. Three minutes into the final period, The Rangers finally scored to stop the "5 goal lead running clock" rule. (Both teams were happy, because no hockey player wants to play with the clock running) The Ranger added another goal with 3:32 left to play to make it a 5-2 game. The Glass Man answered that goal 30 seconds later with an assist going Killer Kyle. Tommy "Z-Man" Zagorski made it 7-2 with a goal in the final minute with an assist from "Serial Killer". Chad made 10 more saves in the third to give him 30 saves for the game. He proved that he is ready for
the big time. Deuces were wild with 2 goals from Jay, Dan and Kevin and 2 assists by the Killers. (Kyle may have had 3 assists. The scorer gave an assist to #54. I gave it to 24)
