Backhand Hat Trick!

Attendance 24

Reds Hang on.

Bill "The Alien" Allen made his second appearance of the season.  He came out late wearing a Red sweater.  The Reds had one more player than the Whites, so he was traded early.  Mini Wheezer gave him his bad luck white sweater.  It worked, as The Alien missed several open nets and the

Having a chocolate in Fairbanks!

Reds scored first when Johnny Backhand roofed one past the Brain.  Tommy Butt Head Morgan made it 2-0.  Tweedy wrapped one around the Anvil to keep the game close.  Fred Fruitcake Bobka gave the Reds a 1-0 Meaningful lead that made it 3-1.  The Bobka factor made it 9-1!*  Magoo got that right back with a feed from Tweedy to tie the meaningful contest at 1-1.  Tommy Z made it 4-2 with a late second period goal for the Reds.  Tweedy scored again to make it close, until Johnny Backhand added 2 more to salt the Meaningless win away for the Reds.  MVP Brinks broke the Meaningful tie late in the game to give the Whites a 2-1 Meaningful Win!  Kramer's Bookie, Scott Wayne, picked up MVP honors in the Goalie Locker room when he brought in a 30 pack of Strohs!  Brinks supplied the Duffers in Locker room 9 with an ample supply of Amstel.  Beak had many setups from Tommy Z, but none of his shots found the net.  Klinger deflected one with his stick, but it went wide.

* The Bobka Factor squares the score, so 3 times 3 = 9.  The Bobka Factor did not affect the Meaningful score, because it was the first meaningful goal, so 1 squared is 1.
1 year ago, Fred made it 121-5 when he scored the 11th goal on Friday the 13th of October 2006. See Duffer History
Reds 6, Whites 4-and Whites 2, Reds 1 MeaningfulMVP was Brinks and Scott Wayne

Here I am at the North Pole

I had a few questions about my trip to Fairbanks.

I was attending the GLOBE Seasons and Biomes Training, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from  September 27-October 1, 2007 with 26 other teachers and 10 scientists from all over the world.  On October 2nd I took a cruise from Seward. I spent a day in Anchorage and got home just in time to play Hockey.
