He caught himself and settled down when the Bookie gave him a look of disgust. Stump later defended his actions by saying he was overcome with emotion after picking up the win last week with a 3rd period shut out and then a goal this week. See
"The Stanley Cup Champion" description in the October 3, 2008 Duffer News. Back Door's brother, Back Hand Johnny gave the Reds a 4-1 lead with a backhanded shot that whistled past the kneeling goalie's ear. Geno scored early in the second period on a pass from Basketball Jones, to cut the lead to 4-2. This one knotted the meaningful score at 2 apiece. "TO", Tom O'Connor finally quit going to Sox games and made his season debut and scored to give the Reds a 5-2 lead. Bill "The Maestro" made it 6-2 and Back Hand Johnny made it 7-2 after 2 periods. For the second week in a row, the Red Bears hibernated in the final period, but this week the Whites were not able to pull it out, as The Anvil had one of his finest games. Rich Storm was the only one able to get one past him in the third period. Fruit Cake almost spoiled the party when he just missed the far post. That would have been their 4th goal and the Bobka Factor would have given the Whites a 16-7 win. (4 Squared is 16) Perry had a fine game once he traded Bill By The Way's short stick in for a longer one. Terry the Terror had one that was more to his liking. We had a Klinger Krask moment in the third period when Tom Ambrosia (T&A) made a last second line change on a face off in their offensive zone next to the White bench. Terry came racing out, took a spill that would have made a Hollywood stuntman jealous. He rolled over on to his back with his skates pointing toward the ceiling.
Thanks to Papa Joe for blowing the whistle for 2 periods, maybe next time he can have a beer. Arizona I need to know if you want a ticket to the Coyotes-Sabers on Friday, March 6th. Boris needs to know who wants to golf. Fancy $100 or cheap $50?
