4 deuces and a pair of Aces!

Romeoville, IL 2/11/2011
Attendance 22.66
Revenge of the Pale Shirts!

Tweedy filled in for our Brain, but The Anvil pulled rank on him and put on his like new white sweater.  The last time Eddie wore his white jersey was when he shut out the Rampage Women.  Thor, Brinks, T&A and TZ each had a pair of goals, while Steve Mazz and Tumblin Terry had solo goals.  The Reds came up with 4 aces, which would have beaten 4 deuces if we were playing poker, but in hockey,

Duffer Lunch attendance jumped to 5!.

the Reds got a 10-4 thrashing with their 4 aces.  The 4 Red Goals were scored by TO, V-Man, Mini Wheezer and Cup Cake.  TZ had a 6 point night as he added 4 assists to his pair of goals.  He set up Thor, Steve and both of Brinks' goals.  T&A had an assist on Thor's second goal.  The attendance of 22.66 was calculated when Terry missed the first period while he was speeding home to get his skates.

Frank's Back Surgery was a success on 2/9/2011

He announced his retirement on the day he got home, but pulled a Brett Farve when Beak called him the next day.  He said he was on the IR and would be at lunch as soon as possible.  He may be wearing the stripes soon.  We will need a referee, with Nick, our most dependable referee, on crutches for a few weeks

Out of Town E-mails!

On: Feb 02/04/2011, while we were digging out of the snow, Perry sent the following from Huston:
Good morning Beak, many thanks for your email and pictures.  Ahh……they bring back great memories of living in Chicago, Detroit and the Great White North.  We are having our challenges down here.  Freezing rain last night. It started while I was driving back from hockey. All the toll roads are shut down today because they are literally skating rinks.  The City is somewhat at a standstill. If it were snowing at least you can drive through it. Not sure how the Texans would handle it. Hard to believe tomorrow we will be up in the 50's, and mid 60's on Sunday. And to think Al Gore says the globe is warming. What a pile of crap!!!

Please send my regards to the boys tonight at hockey.

Take care,  Perry
Nashville Rags sent a similar bad weather note a few days later.

Three goals from these two guys

I can’t make it out of Nashville for lunch. We have 2” of snow and ice on the roads so the State is basically closed down due to the blizzard. I am one of just a few that made it into work today. They treat snow a little different down here. I sent out your pictures last week and they freaked out.
