November 27, 2016. Wags Vs. Green Machine
The Wags hockey team has been on a revolving goalie system. Dan "The Man" Lopatka and 16 year old Chad Dodero have filled in for Ed "The Wall" Waghorne while he waits for surgery. Yesterday, Craig "Ei, Ei, Oh" MacDonald got the call and did a great job shutting down the high powered Green Machine who beat Wags last time by 1 goal. The first period was scoreless until Kevin "Smooth as" Glass and Ryan "Bara"Kuta set up Mike "M&M" Matker" for a goal at 8:19. Five minutes later, Tory "Snuffy" Snick fired a bullet past the Green Machine goalie from the top of the left circle. Tommy Z and Jack Iandoli were given assists. Old MacDonald made some great saves

in the final 2 minutes of period one to preserve the 2-0 lead. Thirty one seconds into period 2, The Green Machine cut the lead in half when "Not so Sooth as" Glass deflected one into his own net. Two minutes later, Tommy Z took a pass from Jack "I" and scored a power play goal. "M&M" Matker then scored 2 more goals to pick up his Hat Trick with assists from TZ and Jack I. Jason "Bara" Kuta scored to close out the scoring in the second period with a comfortable 6-1 lead. Matt "Swatter" Swastek and Mario "Zillo" Verzillo picked up assists. Mario made a cross checker pay for his sin early in the 3rd with a power play goal that was set up by Mike "m&m" Miller and the Swatter. The Green Machine scored 2 meaningless goals to close out the scoring and make the final score 7-3. The final goal was scored with 4 minutes left in the game and that put

only 3 penalties of the game. One for Slashing, one for hooking and one for cross checking. Wags made them pay for their sins by scoring 2 power play goals. Kevin Glass was MVP for bringing the pucks, jerseys, water bottles and beer bag.
