period.  John "Cup Cake" Bobka converted a beautiful pass from Geno in the second period to give the Reds a 2-0 lead after 2 periods.  Last week, Rich Storm came over to the Red bench and shamed them into putting a stop to the scoring orgy.  His strategy worked, as his team outscored the Reds 5-0 in the third and won 11 to 10.  This week, Thor came over and talked to Eddie the Anvil and made sure he knew that he had a shut out going.  That talk paid dividends immediately as Bill By The Way raced in and scored in the first 30 seconds of the 3rd period.  Beak restored the 2 goal lead on the next shift as he one timed a pass from Tommy Z at the Brain's back door.  Joe JR., our youngest Meaningful Duffer, was set up by his defensemen, Rich Storm and Bill BTW to cut the lead again.  Thor tied the game at 3-3, with assists again going to Mike and BTW.  Dimples got a break away and beat the Brain on the stick side high to make it 4-3.  Cup Cake gave the Reds a 2 goal lead on an unassisted break away.  V-man, who played a fine game on defense, helped make that goal the game winner, when he hammered a slap shot off of Tom "T&A" Ambrosia's shin guard. The speedy T&A raced in all alone and used his usual fake shot then drag across the crease followed by a water bottle breaker goal.  The Reds held on to the 5-4 win for the Anvil.  The Whites picked up the Meaningful win, 2-1.
There were several Klinger Crashes for Cup Cake and an entertaining fall by Tumblin Terry that gave the puck to Beak unmolested in the slot.  Beak had so much time and He was laughing when he shot into the Brain's rapidly closing 5 hole, the puck rattled around and rebounded onto Beak's stick.  He shot again and hit the post, no harm, no goal.  Anvil and the Brain were spectacular. 
Congratulations to the Rampage Women for their thrilling 0-0 tie!  They celebrated for 90 minutes until we got off the ice.  Thanks to the Clam and the Rampage women for bringing us some homemade treats. A special thanks to the Clam for not pointing and laughing at Thor when she brought us the treat tray. Thor pigged

out and left only a few Christmas Tree cookies, so when I brought the tray to the

40 something locker room, the kids polished them off.
