We are back to Wednesday lunches on January 8th.

The Czar is looking for deposits for the Duffer road trip to Ann Arbor on Thursday February 27-Sunday March 2. Read what Basketball Jones wrote about his trip with the Duffers to Toronto. 

Our Canadian Aces, Lou and Darrin, will be joining us on our Ann Arbor Trip.  Partying with those guys is worth $500.

Tweedy Ends the Red's Skid!

A Season of Streaks!
Reds finally snapped their 6 game winless streak that goes back to October 25th. That is when the Whites snapped The Anvil's 5 game winning streak with a 6-5 thriller.  The Whites followed that up with a easy 8-4 win on November 15. The first 2 December games ended in 5-5 ties. The Whites took the last 2 December games 7-4 and 4-1.  The Reds stopped the streak with a 5-1 win thanks to some great saves by Tweedy and some good luck iron.  Tweedy's best move came before the game when T&A

asked him which Ambrosia should go Red.  Tweedy said, "Give me the kid." His shutout was spoiled when The Czar fired a shot from the point that Dan kicked out. Magoo pounced on it and fired it into the top right corner. (3 Hole) Reds scored early on a shot from the point by V-Man when he took a cross ice pass from t&a.  Tommy (t&a) scored the second goal with an assist from Steve.  The 3rd goal came when Jeff fired an ice hugger that Beak tipped toward the 3 hole where Tom OC tipped it again and the Brain was out of moves as the puck flew into the net.  Tom "t&a" scored another goal with an assist from Mini Wheezer.  Tom OC scored his second goal on a scramble after a shot from Speed Racer Jeff.
Reds  5, Whites 1 .    Meaningful Score: Reds 2, Whites 1

Memorable Moments:

  • Brian confessed to not playing his best after reading that we may have to cut him after having 3 "A games" in a row.
  • Beak's grandson Mike had a Klinger Krash when he slipped past a defender like he was standing still. (He was standing still) he then got his legs going up to ramming speed. He made a move on Brian, took a shot and blew a tire as he went crashing into the corner making a boom that had a decibel level needed to qualify for a Klinger Krash nomination.  After the crash, Mike said that he didn't want to get up. He was tired and hot, so a nap on the ice was so tempting.
    •

  • Beak crashed into the Czar who wrapped his arms around him and kept

him from crashing to the ice.  He figured it was easier to hold Beak up than pick him up.

Joe had a fan fly in from Colorado.
