December 1, 2016. Wags Vs. Crooked Stix
The Wags hockey team has been on a revolving goalie system. Dan "The Man" Lopatka, 16 year old Chad Dodero and Craig "Ei, Ei, Oh" MacDonald have filled in for Ed "The Wall" Waghorne while he waits for surgery. ond period. It looked like a long night because this guy scored 6 goals the last time we played the Crooks. Jay "Roadrunner" Demaria was late arriving and he didn't get on the ice until the second period so the well rested Jay scored with 5:46 left in the second period with assists from Jeff "Speed Racer" Lopatka and Kyle "Killer" Sandowski. That goal got Wags going and put the Crooked Stix back on their heals. Two minutes later. Speed Racer tied the game with an unassisted goal. Mike "M&M" Matker set up Jay's second goal with 2:23 left in period 2 to give Wags their first lead of the game. Jason "Bara" Kuta and Speed Racer Jeff set up Killer Kyle early in the third period to give Wags a 4-2 lead. "Roadrunner" Demaria picked up his hat trick with an unassisted goal with 2:19 left in the game. With only 2:19 left to play, how did we get a 7-3 final score? Well Roadrunner Jay wasn't finished, he scored with 1:56 with assists from "M&M" Matker and Jason "Bara" Kuta. Esposito got his hat trick a half minute later with a slick wrap around, but Tommy Z answered that 20 seconds later with a goal that was set up buy Killer and Kuta. MVP,
