Mini Wheezer
Hat Trick !

Romeoville, IL
9/23/2011

Attendance: 24

Goalies were on their game early!
Tommy thought the Reds had a slight advantage in talent at game time, so he sent the Romanian flash to beef up the White team.  Beak went over to the White bench to tell them about the trade.  He told them that the Reds wanted a guy that sucks in return for V-Man.  Doc said, "I'm busy." So Papa Joe

T&A gets his name put on the Duffer's Meaningless Trophy.

grabbed his mint condition Red jersey and evened up the sides. The Anvil and the Brain were kicking out everything early in the game.  Eddie lost his shut out with 10 seconds left in the first period, when Bill, "The Maestro" Conti blocked a shot from Thor.  The puck went up in the air, so Bill whacked it again, but he fouled it off, so he hit it one more time and it floated over The Anvil's shoulder and went into the net to give the Whites a 1-0 lead.  Tommy Z finally solved the Brain early in the second period when he fired a shot into the top right corner. Mini Wheezer gave the Reds a 2-1 lead when he one timed a pass from TZ past the Brain. Mini beat the Brain again a few minutes later to make it 3-1. Thor scored a legitimate goal to get the Whites back within one goal.  V-Man made the trade pay off when he fired one past the Anvil to tie it at 3 goals each. Geno made a mad rush along the boards and squeezed past Rags and came in all alone on the Brain to make it 4-3.  Lil' Bill (Maestro's 14 year old son) chased a loose puck into the attacking zone. The Red team breathed a collective sigh of relief when the Anvil beat him to the puck at the top of the circle.  That sigh turned into a groan when Eddie fanned on the puck as it went toward his net and Lil' Bill had an easy tap in to tie the game at 4.  Mini Wheezer scored his hat trick to take the lead on an assist from Geno.  The Reds finally put the game away when Geno got loose again and beat the Brain with a wicked back hand shot to ice the game.  Final score was Reds 6, Whites 4.  The Meaningful score was 2-2 if you give Thor credit for the goal Conti tapped in for him.  The Reds won their 3rd straight Wild Wing contest 10 to 6.

Alaska Sportsman's Lodges

Greetings
Duffers

Hello from Alaska Sportsman’s Lodge.  We are having a great season and really appreciate the tremendous repeat bookings we are getting.  Now is the time to start planning for your 2012 fishing trip (believe it or not) for those of you that have not booked a trip yet.  Most good lodges in Alaska will book up a majority of their spots for the 2012 season over the next few months.  So don’t delay —call or email to discuss the options we have for you.
