Saturday, August 18, The Vikings lost the first game of a twin bill, but they bounced back in the night cap, with a 3-2 rain shortened game.  Melissa came in to pitch in the first inning trailing 2-0 with the bases loaded.  She shut the door with 2 strike outs and went on to hold them at 2, while we put up a 3 spot in the 3rd when Michelle pulled a shot over the first base bag that went into the corner for a  2 run game tying double.  She scored the game winner one batter later on a single by Elaina.  They played in the rain for a few innings, until it was an official game, then the game was called.  Their record improved to 5-3. Michelle had a birthday party planned at the Chicago Bandits Women's Softball game at 7:00 and it rained until 6:30 and then it cleared up and the game started on time.

They had to get muddy to win game 2.	Time to clean up and party!
