Welcome to

Dear Duffers,

I want to give a big thanks to all who came out, wrote, called and acknowledged my dad's passing. It really helped us to have our friends with us!  My dad loved the Duffers "The best game in town".  The King called Vytas our No. 1 FAN.  Plus I got to play hockey on Friday night with you guys!  I hope to see you in a few weeks! Thank you!

Love your guys!

Vidas and Regina Cemarka

Vidas Returns and Scores!

Romeoville, IL October 31, 2014  Attendance: 21
4 goals for Speed Racer Jeff!
We had 16 Duffers and one Daughter of a Duffer at the wake and Tom O'Connor represented us at the gravesite.   Vidas and his mom were touched and very  thankful. What a great organization, I am proud to be a Duffer! Thanks to all. The Whites were off and running with Lil Bill setting up the Czar on the first shift.  Tommy Z and Tom Zim added goals to put the whites up 3-0.  Speed Racer Jeff was trying to set up his grandpa and Guitar Joe with no success, so Beak told him to get us back in the game, so he quickly beat the Brain twice and we had a 3-2 game.  Jeff went back to being a set up man, while the Whites went back to peppering the Anvil with rubber (Not the soft kind). Barron the injector one timed a pass from TZ and made it 4-2.

Joe proposes a toast to Vidas "Formica" Cermarka.

Cowboy Joe added to the lead with a nice redirection of a Czar blast.  The Whites had many chances but the Brain was stopping every shot. Jeff made it 5-3 with a break away goal, but the Czar quickly made it 6-3 with a laser through the crowd. Jeff smiled because he knew that when they were 3 goals down, his grandpa would take the leash off of him.  He was right and he made it 6-4 to close out the second period.  That was as close as the Reds could get, as the Brain kicked out everything, even a couple of breakaways by Jeff. The Whites went on to put the game away with goals by Barron, Lil' Bill, Steve the Hammer and Lil' Bill again.  Vidas "Formica" Cermarka scored in the final seconds on a pass from Jeff. That put a nice cap on his trip here from Seattle.  He went to Wild Wings and thanked everybody for helping him through a tough weekend.  Vidas came to us when he was grinding teeth in Slime Dog's dental lab. When he was presented to the King, Jim thought his name was Vito, so he was welcomed in with open arms.  He answered to Vito for several years until he was given the nickname of Formica.
Final Scores: Whites 10, Reds 5.  The Meaningful score ended in a 1-1 tie.

Things to know:  · We had beer thanks to Greg Z.  · Beak stepped in for Boris at Wild Wings to straighten out their manager. He informed him that the Duffers were Hetero hockey guys who want pretty waitresses, not ugly waiters.  The manager obliged.   Bird Man Dan was out again with Bird Flu.  · Berserk failed to deliver Tommy Z's popcorn again.  Tommy will go Popcorn less for another 2 weeks! (No ice November 7th)  Beak will break his perfect attendance on November 14th when He will go to Detroit with Frank and Klinger to see the Blackhawks play the Redwings.  His Grandson Mike will bring the beer while wearing Brinks' #21 Jersey.

Perfect attendance:
After 8 games, 7 Duffers have Perfect Attendance: Speed Racer Jeff, Bill BTW, Beak, Czar, Fruitcake Fred, and V-Man.

Beak got us an upgrade in service after a talk with the Wild Wings manager.
