GLOBE Phenology
Naperville Community Unit School District 203 |
On Saturday, April 7, 2007, several volunteers from Steeple Run School came out to the Morton Arboretum to collect GLOBE data. In April, We are watching for bud bursts on several trees. We are wondering if they will open earlier this year. The Gingko opened on April 14th in 2006. We also want to watch when ponds and rivers thaw out in the spring. I took my grandchildren to check out the changes on Monday, April 9, 2007. To see the full size of the following thumbnails, just click on them. For several years, volunteer students and parents from Steeple Run School have been collecting and recording GLOBE data on Saturday afternoons. |
This week we invited Highlands School students and they got a little lost, so they didn't make it in time for this picture, but they did make it for the Gingko Budburst activity. |
