	A Hat for Tony the Tiger!


	December 7, 2016. Wags Vs. Hat Trick Swayze The Wags hockey team has been on a revolving goalie system. Dan "The Man" Lopatka, 16 year old Chad Dodero and Craig "Ei, Ei, Oh" MacDonald have filled in for Ed "The Wall" Waghorne while he recovers from surgery. The latest call up Alec Paloumpis, has turned 2 straight gems. Jack "The Ripper" Iandoli got Wags going in his first shift when he took a pass from Kyle "Killer" Sandowski and ripped a shot past the Hat Trick Swayze goalie. Matt Karstins and Mike "M&M" Matker set up Jeff "Speed Racer" Lopatka with 3:37 left in period one.


	Wags had a record crowd for the 1st playoff game. Grandpa Kuta got stood up by his grandsons.


	Tony the Tiger Letto score at 1:45 to give Wags a 3-0 lead going into the 2nd period. Sixteer seconds into the 2nd period, "M&M" Matker passed to Jay "Roadrunner" Demaria in the slot where he was in a crowd, so he passed it out to the point to Speed Racer Jeff and got out of the way of a nipple high rocket than went into the top of the net. (That is a quote from Jay.). Alec was gloving everything while Wags built a 4-0 lead. His shutout was ended on a beautifully executed 2 on one with 10:06 left in the period 2. Dan Lopatka won the ensuing face off back to his nephew Jeff wwho set up Tony's second goal at 9:34. With 3:10 left in period 2, Nick Enwrite scored to make the score 5-2. That gave the Hat Trick Swayzes hope until Jack "The Ripper" struck with 5 seconds left on the clock. That goal and some great saves by Alec, ripped the heart out of them. Two minutes into the 3rd, Dan Lopatka set up Tony Letto's hat trick! Tony and Dan set up Killer Kyle' goal to give Wags an 8-2 lead with 5:41 left to play. Nick Jaros scored with 45 seconds left to make the final score 8-3.


	Kevin "Smooth as" Glass, Gary "The inhibiter" Hibbler, Jack Iandoli and Matt Karstins did a fine job keeping the Swayzes to 3 goals.

Wags attracted a big crowd for the first playoff game.	Grandpa Kuda made his second appearance.


I went searching for a tiger hat for Tony who came out and picked up a Hat Trick last game. I think he would look good in either one, what do you think? (Below) Jay had a hat trick plus 1 last game in just 2 periods.
	It is a good thing that we picked up Alec, because Duffer Goalie, Eddie the Anvil, was next on Ed's list to take us through the playoffs.
