Wags a 2-0 lead, but The Crooked Stix made it 2-1 thirty seconds later. They tied it late in the second period. That set up a thrilling 3rd period. Roadrunner Jay got the lead back early in the 3rd period when he scored on a pass from
Tom "Cowboy" Conoboy, but that lead only lasted a minute and 10 seconds, so the thriller continued until Wags scored 3 unanswered goals in a 150 seconds. The string of goals started with a sniper snap shot by Killer Kyle after RoadrunnerJay won a faceoff in the offensive zone with 9:45 left to play. Thirty seconds later,
Cowboy" Conoboy blew a bad angle shot past the rattled goalie.
Joe Santelli got an assist. Jack "The Ripper" Iandoli capped off an excellent game when he ripped a slap shot from the point that put Wags up 6-3 with 7:03 left to play. Tommy Z-MAN Zagorski and Tory Snick set up the goal with some great passing. That goal brought out the crooked sportsmanship. Until then, the game was free of cheap shots. The final five minutes had many slashes and ended with Jay and a foe exchanging slashes and insults that looked like a "Political rally". Tory answered a late Crooked Stix goal with a long empty net goal that gave Wags a thrilling 7-4 win. Wags Schedule: Thursday March 2, 2017 9:40 PM in the American Rink
