The Anvil Almost Stops Them All!

Romeoville, IL November 14, 2014  Attendance: ?
3 goals Monet Mike!

Thanks to Tom "T&A" for the following information:
The Reds had goals by these 6 players.  Mike  "Monet" Lopatka had 3 goals and 2 assists. V-Man had 2 goals as did Commander Ken's friend, Rob DeGuest.  Tom "T.O." O'Connor  and Tom "T&A" Ambrosia each had a goal.  Speed Racer Jeff had a number of assists and maybe a tip in from his brother.  Eddie the Anvil had a shutout going late into the third period that was fueled by pre game Crown Royal and Black Label.  The Czar spoiled the shutout late in the third with a pass from Tumblin Terry.  The Anvil blamed V-Man for not playing like Seabrook and stopping that

We went back to Ann Arbor.

goal and preserving the shutout with a cross check of Terry.
Things to know:  ·
An referee may have credited Magoo with a goal when he was the closest player to Fruitcake Fred when he tipped a puck past his own goalie.
The Senior Locker Room had beer thanks to Beak's Grandson Mike.  Beak was in Detroit with his son Ken, Doc and Klinger to see the Blackhawks play the Redwings.  After talking to Coach Babcock, Donny and Tony Granato, a Duffer Road trip to Detroit-Ann Arbor in he Spring is very tempting.  Don suggested taking the train if we can't get enough guys to pay for the bus.  The Bus ride is always more fun, it gets costly with empty seats.  Don also promised to supply us with players like he did last year.
Perfect attendance:  After 9 games, only 4 Duffers have Perfect Attendance: Speed Racer Jeff, The Czar, Fruitcake Fred, and V-Man.

Brian Kraft talks about Alaska with Redwing coaches Babcock and Granato.

Coach Babcock would like to play with the  Duffers.

We stopped in Kalamazoo for lunch on our way to Detroit

We went to see the Blackhawks play the Redwings

My son Ken proudly wore his Blackhawk hat and shirt in the Redwings' locker room.  Coach Babcock was nice about it and agreed to play with us when we come back.

Brian Kraft talks about Alaska with Tony and Coach Babcock.

Brian Kraft's Daughter was playing in an U-14 Hockey tournament.

We went to Wild Wings after the game.

We helped this young lady win a bet.

We had lunch with Donny in Ann Arbor on Saturday.

The above pictures were taken in Blackhawks' locker room at the United Center last week.  The little guy in white is our referee, Ryan Kroll.

These smiles tell it all!
